About Me

Hello and welcome to my website.

I grew up in Kokomo, Indiana.
I graduated from B.Y.U. in Early Childhood Education.
After graduation, I began teaching kindergarten in Santaquin.  I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Dominican Republic.  After my mission, I taught kindergarten at Larsen Elementary.   A parent of one of my kindergarten students introduced me to my sweetheart,
Steve Leifson. He is the mayor of Spanish Fork.
Steve and I have six children, five grandsons and one granddaughter.
This is my 8th year teaching at Park Elementary.  Teaching is my passion.  I love children and the classroom is my "Happy Place".  I am super excited about teaching the common core
to my 2016-2017 students.
I love to travel - especially to Hawaii!
4-Wheeling in Moab or anywhere gives me a thrill.
I enjoy children's literature in all of its forms.
I'd rather dance than walk!
If I can sing it, move it or shake it,..... I will do it.
